Writing Thoughts On Paper

I'm not an active person nor do sport activities. My daily routine would just go to work, blog on spare time, and a mother full time. So if you'll ask me what's my favorite activity - I think that's writing on a journal. That's the daily activity I do so I won't miss a thing. I love writing. Whenever I feel emotional, I write. When I'm happy, I write. When I need to plan things ahead, I write. And that's everyday. Even those simple days I write all the tasks that I've done and my gratitude. I feel like when I write these things down, it helps me remind myself that hey, you're blessed.



So, to inspire you to write, here are the top 5 reasons why you should write your thoughts on a paper.


Writing down your dreams, goals, and business ideas helps you brainstorm on a more ambitious scale.

There’s nothing quite like writing down a startup idea in the middle of a blank page and then branching out with a flurry of ideas.

Plus, writing down your thoughts gives you a chance to explore dreams that you may not wish to share with others. It also affords you a physical space to keep track of those thoughts, and return to them later if needed.


Learning and remembering are two different things (outside of the school system, that is).

Writing things down that you need to remember – like checklists – gives you a far better chance of actually remembering them when you have to.

Fine or awesome ideas can pop up at the strangest times but they tend to not stay for long in your head. So you need to capture them fast or they are gone in the wind.


When you don’t occupy your mind with having to remember every little thing – like how much milk to get – you become less stressed and it becomes easier to think clearly. This is, in my opinion, one of the most important reasons to write things down. Feeling calmer and more relaxed does not only improves your health but also makes life easier and more smooth and effective.

When you note down your ideas, thoughts, and emotions, it helps your brain to unload some baggage, giving it room to think about other things. Or better yet, with all that extra space, it could even begin to relax.


In a press release, the study’s author Robert Wilson, a Neuropsychologist, said that, "Our study suggests that exercising your brain by taking part in activities [such as reading and writing] across a person's lifetime, from childhood through old age, is important for brain health in old age.”

So, if you want to remember where you left your keys thirty years from now, I suggest you start writing more today.


You can’t hold that many thoughts in your head at once. If you want to solve a problem it can be helpful to write down your thoughts, facts and feelings about it.

Then you don’t have to use your for mind for remembering, you can instead use it to think more clearly. Having it all written down gives you an overview and makes it easier to find new connections that can help you solve the problem.

By writing things down you can help yourself to spot trouble and get yourself back on track and keep yourself there within a larger timeframe. Or your journal may tell you something that you haven’t really paid much attention to about yourself and/or about your life. And so this can bring clarity.

So those are five of the most important reasons why I write everything down. How to capture your thoughts? Well, that’s up to you. And the best part is, unlike some other “life hacks” out there, writing is an activity that’s hugely accessible to almost all of us.



Journaling might be the most underrated activity that could boost your productivity and well-being in just a few minutes a day. Just jot your thoughts down or record what happened during the day for a simple way to manage stress, enhance creativity, increase happiness, improve health, and increase work performance.


A paper notebook and pen are fine for journaling, but apps offer more. They give you more context on what you've accomplished and where you might want to go, and let you include photos from your phone or posts from your social media feeds to make the journaling experience more rewarding.
